SHORT CIRCULAR WELDING

News

Short-circuit butt welding is a resistance welding process in which a permanent connection between tightly pressed objects is obtained over the entire contact surface thanks to the resistance heating of this area by flowing electric current and then plastic deformation after reaching the appropriate welding temperature. We heat the welding area to plasticize or to temperatures higher than melting temperatures. The contact surfaces of heated objects must be cleaned and adhere to each other.

SHORT CIRCULAR WELDING PARAMETERS:

  • current
  • downforce
  • clamping length
  • upset allowance
  • welding current flow time

Short-circuit butt welding is used to connect rods, wires, profiles, pipes, rims, chain links. This method can be used to weld carbon, low and high alloy steels, resistance alloys, nickel, copper and aluminum alloys.
