A new, interesting direction for the development of small architecture elements are gabions. For their construction there are beeing used baskets made of galvanized steel wire or of stainless steel filled with stones or rocks type material. After completing the individual elements, they are assembly into panel fence sequences, parts of the building façades, barriers preventing landslides, webs preventing degradation of the coast and many others. It is an extremely effective, but also quite cheap element of landscaping. The advantages of gabions are resistance to weather conditions, stability, ease of forming, material availability,... All these features make them more and more willingly used by architects and end users.
